Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the outside provider that operates that tool. Atlantic County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.

If you send an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to answer it. The message is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Data Collected

Normal web operations can record technical details when a page loads, including:

  • The network IP address used for the request
  • Browser name and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • Referring website, when supplied
  • Date and time stamps

Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can block or remove them, though some page features may then behave differently.

How Data Supports Operations

Collected information may be used to keep the site available, direct a query to the proper search provider, measure which Atlantic County release pages are useful, diagnose technical faults, and display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.

Links Beyond This Site

Pages link to Atlantic County Public Safety, NJDOC, courts, parole and probation resources, federal locators, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's own privacy notice controls.

Advertising providers may measure activity across websites on their systems. That tracking is governed by those providers, not by this notice.

Parties Receiving Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may still be received by:

  • Search partners that process submitted queries
  • Analytics services that measure site use
  • Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
  • Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Reasonable Security Measures

Standard safeguards are used to protect information in our control. No internet-connected service can promise complete security, so this notice does not claim that a breach or unauthorized access is impossible.

Visitors Under Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion if a minor submitted information.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and the data actually held, a user may ask to:

  • Receive a copy of personal data associated with them
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information that no longer must be retained
  • Opt out of certain forms of processing

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. An updated version takes effect when it is posted here with a new effective date.
